BOLTON’S community radio station is opening it’s doors to the public this Saturday.
Listeners will be able to see Bolton FM’s impressive state of the art radio studios, meet presenters and find out all about how Bolton’s only dedicated radio service is created.
Kevan Williams, one of the station’s founders and presenter of This Is Bolton, said: “We have been inundated in previous years by the public at these open days and feel it’s a great way for the station to reach out to its audience.”
Volunteer coordinator James Pilkington added: “We wouldn’t have a radio station without the dedication of our volunteers and our open days are a wonderful opportunity to recruit more.
“Bolton FM’s offer is truly unique and that’s down to the dedication of all in the organisation and the huge support we get from the council, local businesses and community groups”.
The radio station’s studio, based upstairs at Bolton Market in Ashburner Street, will be open to the public from noon to 3pm today.
