Dressed in the finest Shakespearean garb members of Edgworth Women's Institute were enjoying a scene from Sailor Beware.
The comedy was being performed in October 1976 at the Theatre Playhouse in Preston as part of the Women's Institute Festival of Plays.
After the festival it entertained audiences in Bolton with a two-day run at the Barlow Institute later that month.
