WHEN my little girl was three, we took her on holiday to Disneyland Paris – and she was mesmerized.

Three years on, Romy still loves the magic – and that was clear to see when I took her to see the Disney on Ice spectacular at Manchester Arena.

Dressed in her little yellow Belle dress, she whooped with delighted when all her favourite characters took to the ice for the Passport to Adventure show.

The fun started with a Fit to Dance pre-show featuring characters from Zootropolis. Then Micky and Minnie Mouse introduced all the Disney favourites as they arrived at different destinations.

We explored the African Pride Lands with Simba, Timon and Pumbaa, voyage deep under the sea to Ariel’s mystical underwater kingdom and toured London with Peter Pan and Wendy, before flying to Neverland to meet up with Tinker Bell.

The ice dancers were fantastic and the appreciative crowd clapped and applauded as the characters were thrown up in the air in spectacular style. And the props were equally superb – all accurately reflecting different scenes in the films. And of course there was the music – all the songs are recognisable now and youngsters sang along to their favourite tunes all evening.

Romy said her favourite part of the two-hour show was Peter Pan – but I think the Frozen finale was a very close second. Her eyes lit up as Anna and Elsa whisked us away to their wintery wonderland of Arendelle. Everyone was on the ice – including Kristoff and snowman Olaf. To make it even more realistic, fake snow was pumped onto the ice as the crowds cheered in delight.

All the characters from the show came out to wave goodbye to everyone in a thrilling finale – as the crowds jigged and cheered along.

The evening was a huge success, the atmosphere was amazing and the kids loved it – you can't as k more than that.
