PEOPLE are being urged to keep an eye on their bins after two were set on fire outside a youth club.
Firefighters were called to Waggon Road Young People's Centre, Breightmet, at around 1.30am today.
Two bins were on fire on the tarmacked football pitch, which crews put out quickly.
Now residents are being urged to keep an eye on their bins after a recent spate.
Ian Mccourt, crew manager at Bolton North fire station, said: "We have had a couple of fires in the area over the last couple of weeks.
"We're asking people to keep an eye on their bins. They're being vandalised, lost and stolen.
"From our point of view we would ask people to put them out on collection day and then bring them in again. Make them not easily accessible.
"We'd also ask people to know where their children are. The bins are stolen from nearby houses, it is a problem we have all over the place. There's only so much we can do."
