A FORMER community centre could be converted back into housing.
Bolton at Home wants to turn the Urban Care and Neighbourhood (UCAN) Centre in Farnworth into six one-bedroom flats.
The George Street centre was originally built as a pair of semi-detached homes.
It closed in April, when its services moved to a former library on the opposite corner of Moorside Avenue.
A planning application sent to Bolton Council states: “Approximately 20 to 25 years ago the building was converted into a community facility having been used as a youth centre, community advice centre, offices and more recently the UCAN centre.
“In all aspects, the building is residential in nature, scale and appearance, although the garden spaces have been removed to allow for off road parking and a secure two-metre-high boundary fence encompasses the site.”
