Work takes place on Rumworth road bridge close to Lostock train station, Bolton.
A BRIDGE at Lostock railway station has reopened after months of repair works.
Rumworth Road bridge was closed in May to allow Network Rail to rebuild a section of it.
Half of the bridge, which was built in 1915 and spans the Wigan line, was replaced due to it not being high enough to take electric cables.
The side spanning the Preston line was strengthened, although it may be replaced entirely in future.
