ACTOR Ralf Little will give this year’s Tillotson Lecture at Bolton School.

The old boy, who is also a writer and a semi-professional footballer attended the school from 1988 to 1998, will be delivering the lecture on November 29 at his old school.

The Tillotson Lecture series is now in its 45th year and was inaugurated and supported by the late Marcus Tillotson, whose family started The Bolton News.

The series has attracted eminent speakers over the years who have delivered thought provoking lectures to the school community.

Mr Little acting break came when he was offered the role of Antony Royle in the BBC sitcom The Royle Family. He went on to play Jonny Keogh in Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps.

Previous speakers have included Andy Paterson, whose credits include The Railway Man, starring Colin Firth, Lord of the Rings actor Sir Ian McKellen and World mountain bike champion, Chris Eatough.

The lecture is open to the public but those wishing to attend need to RSVP bdinfo@boltonschool.org by November 22.
