CCTV footage shows the moment a car slides across a road before crashing into shops.
A man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving under the influence after the crash in Deane Road, near Bolton town centre, by a member of the public, at around 8pm last night.
Officers attended and were forced to close the road while debris was cleared and damaged vehicles were recovered.
A car was seen skidding sideways across the road before it slammed into the Deane Mini Market and the adjacent building.
Eyewitnesses reported how the car then drove off and crashed into parked cars on the other side of the road before coming to a stop again further up the road where the man was arrested.
No-one was hurt in the crash but the car was left badly damaged.
A police spokesman said the shop shutters were damaged in the crash.
The front of other shops also suffered damage in the crash.
More to follow.
