A CAR was driven to a dirt track and completely burnt by vandals last night.
Firefighters were called to Brinks Lane last night to a car which had been set alight and was so burnt the make and model could not be determined.
Watch manager Mick Hodson, explained the car had been driven some way along the track, off Bury New Road, making it difficult for the fire service to get to.
He said: "They have driven it down a dirt track and then torched it.
"It was quite far from the road which made it difficult as we couldn't get the pump down the track."
Firefighters had to pull their hose reels down the lane near Bradley Fold to reach the car.
The matter has been referred to police said Mr Hodson who called the act 'deliberate'.
