A MAN was handed a suspended sentence after he threatened a bouncer with a knuckleduster at a Bolton nightclub.
Zakir Mohmed, aged 22 of Crumpsall Street in Astley Bridge, was handed a 20 week prison sentence suspended for 12 months for using threatening behaviour and possessing an offensive weapon.
The incident occurred in the Level nightclub, in Nelson Square on March 26 this year.
Mohmed admitted the offences at Bolton Magistrates' Court and was also handed a 12 week curfew to be at his home between 8pm and 8am.
The court heard how the knuckleduster was taken out by Mohmed to threaten the club bouncer.
Mohmed had been drinking prior to the incident and was also on police bail at the time.
He has also been banned from Level for 12 months and the knuckleduster was forfeited.
