AN eight-week-old kitten was rescued after becoming trapped in a bottle bank at a Bradford supermarket.
The boy kitten was rescued from the bottle bank in the car park at Morrisons store in Five Lane Ends, Bradford Road, Idle.
A crew from Shipley Fire Station rescued the black-coloured kitten at around 7.45pm yesterday after cutting away part of the bottle bank.
Darren Creighton, watch commander of Shipley Fire Station, said the kitten was shaken and hungry and was taken away by representatives from Bradford Cat Watch Rescue, who called the brigade, for an assessment.
He added it is believed the kitten was trapped inside the bottle bank for the previous 24 hours.
