TODAY’S picture shows a road in Bolton that many of our readers will be very familiar with. It is, of course, Darwen Road in Bromley Cross and this picture was taken in September, 1975. This was before dozens of new houses were built in and around Hospital Road so although a busy scene, it would be far busier today, no doubt.
