A MEMBER of Bolton’s midwife team could pick up a national award.
Martine Bayliss from Bolton NHS Foundation Trust is shortlisted for a Royal College of Midwives (RCM) Award.
The midwife could pick up the Thompsons Members’ Champion Award thanks to her work as an RCM representative in the workplace at the ceremony on March 6.
Gill Walton, chief executive of the Royal College of Midwives, said: “I wish Martine and the whole team the best of luck.
“The standard of entries has been extremely high so to get this far is an outstanding achievement. It shows how much good work and partnership between union representatives and employers is going on in our maternity services for the benefit of staff and ultimately the women they care for.”
