ORGANISERS of a big Bolton fundraiser have warned that it may be postponed following the weekend weather warning.
Hike the Pike will see around 600 people stepping out on a five mile walk dressed as Santa Claus and his elves on Sunday in aid of Bolton Hospice.
However, the charity is now assessing whether its inaugural event can go ahead on due to the severe weather forecast for tomorrow and Sunday.
URGENT NOTICE PLEASE RT! We are currently assessing whether our Santa Hike the Pike event can go ahead on Sunday due to the severe weather forecast this weekend. If you have registered to take part please check our website for updates! pic.twitter.com/NWwr79FAXL

Plans for Sunday include hiking from Ridgmont House from 11am to Rivington Pike where children will post cards to Father Christmas.
Anyone attending is asked to check the hospice website for updates at www.boltonhospice.org.uk.
A decision on whether it will go ahead is expected to be taken tomorrow morning.
