A FARM has submitted plans to create a horse riding arena.
The owners of Nevy Fold Farm in Old Lane, Horwich, have applied to change the use of one of its pasture fields to a fenced equestrian riding arena.
Farm owner, Claire Wilkinson said the arena would be for her own use to ride her own horse.
The changeto the pasture land would involve laying grey rubber fibre sand over stone in the proposed area which the application specifies would be 20m by 40m. The arena would be drained.
The arena would be near to existing stables and access would be across a track.
No objections have been made by the highways department assuming that the facility is for the sole use of the applicant and not for a commercial use.
Fifteen neighbours have been consulted on the plan.
The planning application was submitted to Bolton Council last week and the deadline for comments is Tuesday, January 23.
