THE MP for Bolton North East, Sir David Crausby, has visited a Bolton private addiction rehabilitation centre.

The MP met co-founders Danielle Robinson and Adrian Guffogg, along with staff and clients at Acquiesce in All Saints Street, to hear about treatment the centre offers, on February 23.

The centre focuses on long-term recovery and abstinence leading to improvements in physical, psychological and social health, as well as overall quality of life.

Sir David Crausby MP said: “I’m proud of the progress that has been made in Bolton’s recovery community over the last few years and this adds to the range of options available to local residents when they need help.”

“It was very encouraging to hear first-hand from clients about their positive experiences at the centre."

Although rehabilitation services are available through local authorities, Acquiesce offers a private alternative route to help people on the road to recovery.

Danielle Robinson, managing director at Acquiesce added: "The reality is that the team at Acquiesce are supporting people to rebuild their lives following years spent lost in addiction.

"Here at Acquiesce, we empower our residents to find ways to change their lives and live free from dependent of substances.

"The programme offered at the centre allows individuals to understand behaviours that have, in the past, held them in the grips of their addictions. "Clients are given a chance to rebuild their lives, confidence and support networks and discover their true potential and purpose in their community."
