BUS users have been urged to make use of the town centre Bolton Metro Shuttle.

Cllr David Chadwick, Bolton Council cabinet member for highways and transport, wished to remind people of the service after the stops were colour coded to help passengers identify the bus.

The service was introduced in November 2008 and is operated by local company Vision Bus.

Cllr Chadwick said: “To help passengers identify the shuttle bus stops on the route, are now colour coded with light blue poles.

"I would encourage more people to avail themselves of this excellent service to help passengers and town centre businesses."

The bus route leaves the Interchange and first visits the Market on Blackhorse Street then heads back to Bolton Railway Station and Sainsbury's before circumventing the town centre and returning to the Interchange.

The free service has a 15-minute frequency and runs Monday to Saturdays from 9am to 5pm.
