A CHARITY walk with a difference will make stops at local cricket grounds and pubs in memory of a former Blackrod Cricket Club chairman.
The walk has been organised in honour of Andy Hartley, who died last year after a battle with bowel cancer.
Those taking part will be doing two of Andy's favourite things — watching cricket and having a drink.
The seven-mile walk will have stop-offs at Horwich, Adlington and Blackrod Cricket Clubs, as well as seven local pubs.
Andy Hartley, formerly a RAF Flight Sergeant, was a regular spectator at these Bolton cricket grounds and acted as chairman at Blackrod CC for several years.
Former Great Britain Rugby League captain and friend of Andy's, Phil Clarke, is hoping to join the walk.
All of the money raised on the walk will go to The Christie hospital where Andy was cared for during his fight with cancer.
The walk will take place on April 28, starting at the Jolly Crofters pub in Horwich at 11.45am.
