KEEN local photographer Mark Sixsmith, of Blackrod, has snapped up first place in The Bolton News Camera Club’s photography competition.
Chief photographer Gus Sivyer chose the winner from more than 200 entries. He said: “The quality of all entries was excellent. Mark’s use of colour and his decision to shoot the scene at night, coupled with a strong compositional sense, made his image a real stand-out.”
He wins £50, a canvas of his photo and a bottle of bubbly. Runners-up Joe Palframan and Andrew Hodson each win a canvas of their image and a bottle of bubbly. Winners can claim there prizes by contacting our Picture Desk on 01204 537 265 or emailing pictures@theboltonnews.co.uk
