THERE’S a new and surprising “double act” on the small screen – the Queen and Sir David Attenborough.
They are both 91 and much revered in the UK and around the world but bringing them together for an ITV documentary, The Queen’s Green Planet, was sheer genius.
They both have a gentle humour and a wry look at life that complements the other and took genuine pleasure in strolling through the gardens of Buckingham Palace. You discovered a fresh perspective on each of them, especially Her Majesty.
It was a terrific antidote to brash reality programmes and just a lovely watch.
