AS Bollywood dancing continues to grow in popularity, the people of Bolton are invited to take to the dance floor and learn the fun moves.
Bollywood Dance Society are offering people of all ages to a taster session this weekend as it organises a number of classes for the community.
Paras Agravat, Bolton Hindu Forum Project Development Officer, said: “The taster session is open to all ages.
“We have experienced instructors who got together to offer classes in Bollywood dancing. Some people might just want to do it as form of exercise, to socialise or want to get back into this form of dancing or want to learn about it to perform.”
The society is part of Bolton Hindu Forum’s work to extend its arts provision for the community.
“There is a lot of interest in in South-East Asian arts and we are meeting demand from the community,” said Mr Agravat.
He added: “We have brought the teachers together and will organise classes to fit in with people who want to continue in.
“Those wanting to support the society are welcome to attend the session.
“We just want people to come along and have fun.”
The taster session will run from noon until 1pm on Saturday at Veda Mandir on 1 Thomas Holden Street, Bolton.
Those wishing to take part should just turn up to the drop in session and enjoy taking part and demonstrations of different forms of Bollywood dance by instructors.
