A TRIO of Harriers have received international call-ups to add to the club’s honours board at Bolton Arena.

James Kevan and Killian Mooney finished second and third at the recent European Mountain Running trials at Slievenamon and have achieved selection for Ireland for the European Championships on July 1 in Skopje, Macedonia.

Running in their home club colours of Clonliffe and Dundrum, James and Killian were only a few seconds off first place and are in fine form for 2018.

Mike Cayton, having run for Great Britain three times in the late 1990s, is also aiming for the European Championships with the GB trial race at Sedbergh in June.

He is enjoying a great renaissance in his running and has already achieved selection in the V35 category for England at the Great Birmingham 10k on May 6 as a result of his number one age ranking in the UK.
