PASSENGERS have been involved in a three-car crash at a busy junction in Astley Bridge.

The emergency services are currently on the scene in Crompton Way, at the junction with Blackburn Road.

One lane is currently blocked due to the three-vehicle, involving a silver Citroen, grey Audi A5 and silver Audi A4.

It is understood that nobody has suffered injuries following the incident this afternoon.

A spokeswoman for Greater Manchester Police said: "We were called shortly before 3.20pm on Tuesday, May 15 to reports of a crash involving three cars at the junction between Blackburn Road and Crompton Way.

"It does not look as though anyone was injured but the ambulance service attended.

"The fire service was also called as the road was blocked.

"One of the lanes is now moving."
