KEARSLEY train station is fully back on track after repairs to a section of platform that collapsed.
A section of platform two at the station fell away in the early hours of Friday meaning that services travelling from Manchester Victoria to Bolton were unable to stop at the station.
A replacement bus service running from Kearsley to Bolton was provided, although passengers travelling from further down the line wishing to stop at Kearsley were asked to travel on to Bolton before boarding a train back to the station.
The rest of the station remained open and services in the opposite direction continued to stop at Kearsley.
Network Rail carried out a full assessment of the platform during the repairs.
The collapse came at the end of a week of severe disruption after the introduction of a new timetable.
