WHITES legend Francis Lee will once again be teeing off in style.

The former-Wanderers and England ace will be taking to the green with teams from local businesses to fundraise for Bolton Lads and Girls Club.

The annual fundraising event has sold out well in advance as teams jumped at the chance to join in the competitive golf day.

Last year the winning team came from Sherwin-Williams and in total the event raised more than £24,000 for the charity with 23 teams taking part at Bolton Golf Club in Chorley New Road.

Thursay's weather could echo last year's with showers expected despite the summery spell the country has been experiencing.

After the round golfers will enjoy a meal at the golf club and auction and the winning team will be crowned.

The Francis Lee Golf Classic is now in its 29th year and as well as taking part some businesses are sponsoring one of the 18 holes for £100.

Bolton Lads and Girls Club is a charity and youth club based in Spa Road with a membership of more than 4,000 youngsters.

It provides services from three other sites as well in Hacken Lane, Darcy Lever; Central Drive, Westhoughton and in Barlow Park, Astley Bridge at The Pavillion.
