SIR Bruce Forsyth left £11.7 million in his will, all to his wife and nothing to his six children.
In the same week, it was announced actor Leslie Grantham (Dirty Den in EastEnders) died virtually penniless with nothing left to his three children.
The inference each time in reports was that of an entitlement by children to wealth accumulated by parents. While I’m all for parents helping youngsters as they can during their lifetime, I’m completely against an automatic expectation of wealth when parents die. Earn it yourself. It’s better for them and teaches value of hard work.
