BY day she develops the creativity of young people and now Anne Wynne's own imagination will take centre stage with her debut play opening at Greater Manchester Fringe Festival.

Anne, who lives in Prestwich, has penned her first stage play which will be taking to the stage at The Met tonight.

"This is his is my first ever stage play and I can't tell you how excited I am" said the primary school teacher, "I have been writing for many years but this is the first full length play that I have produced."

Entitled A Fine Life, the play is about a 41-year-old Martin attempts to escape a failing relation by returning to his family home — but the welcome isn't what he expected and his father's disappeared.

He is joined on his emotional journey by Chelsea, an unconventional sassy "home help" and beautician.

Anne, who teaches at St Boniface RC Primary said: "I have been able to do this with the support and guidance of WriteForThe Stage at Studio Salford which I discovered in September 2016.

"With their support, I have developed an idea into an hour long play. It is a fun-filled comedy and it has been an absolute joy watching my words on the page transform into living breathing characters."

She added: "I managed to secure Arts Council Funding and am currently busy telling anyone I even remotely know about my play."

The play will be performed at The Met on July 12 and July 19, and The Kings Arms: Theatre on July 14 and 15.
