THOUSANDS of people in Bolton were hit by daily train delays and cancellations earlier this year when timetable changes led to widespread disruption.
As a result, the Government has announced plans for a new system of compensation which focuses on those with weekly or season tickets.
While the scheme doesn't account for people buying daily tickets, compensation for these trips is set out in the Delay Repay scheme, which allows anyone to claim money back if their train is delayed by at least 30 minutes.
However, the system can be difficult to navigate, so we've put together a video to explain exactly how you can claim.
