BOLTON at Home’s Community Engagement Team has been named 'team of the year' at the national final of the Tpas awards.

The team invests in local people and works with charities, voluntary organisations and communities, to create and deliver initiatives that benefit thousands of tenants and residents each year.

They were also recognised for how they support community groups, tenant and resident associations, and other volunteers in Bolton, with funding, advice and support to deliver community and arts based projects, activities and services to benefit the wider community.

Team members who work in our UCAN (urban care and neighbourhood) centres across the borough, help up to 2,000 people each month with one-to-one advice and support to improve wellbeing and employment prospects.

Tracy Woods, chair of Bolton at Home, said: “We are very proud of our team members, who are dedicated to improving people’s lives and building sustainable communities. They run activities and offer support to help people gain new skills, more confidence, better health and fresh opportunities to prosper.”

Leading tenant engagement experts, Tpas holds its annual awards to recognise excellent work and best practice among social housing providers, contractors, and tenants most importantly. Winners for north, south and central regions go through to the national final.
