THE owner of two pedigree dogs fears they have been stolen after they both disappeared when she let them off their lead on a walk.
The valuable border terriers, a three-year-old bitch and a one-year-old dog, vanished when they were being walked around Eagley Brook last Friday.
Frantic owner Lyndsey Eccleshare, aged 37, of Bramley Road, Sharples, said: "I can't understand both of them going missing together unless someone has taken them.
"The dogs belong to my nine-year-old daughter, Kelly, and she's worried sick.
"They're quite sought after dogs and I'm concerned that somebody may have stolen them. Both the dogs are microchipped and I hope that someone will return them."
Posters asking for the animals' return have been displayed in the area and the matter has been reported to police.
Anybody with information is asked to contact Mrs Eccleshare on 01204 419908.
