SCENE: A Ford Connect van was left damaged following the collision in De Havilland Way, Horwich
A TIPPER truck and a van were involved in a collision on a dual carriageway on Saturday morning.
Police were called to the incident, in De Havilland Way, Horwich - close to the University of Bolton Stadium - to reports of the incident.
The driver of the grey Ford Connect van fled the scene prior to officers arriving.
Pictures shared on social media by Greater Manchester Police’s traffic team showed the damage caused to the van.
Both vehicles were eventually recovered, and police say enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
