Emergency services
EMERGENCY services were called to the M61 after a car left the carriageway and ended up on the embankment.
The accident happened at 6am today, just south of Rivington Services.
Fire service said that lorry drivers had stopped to help and the 20-year-old driver was out of the car as they arrived.
She was described as shaken and treated by paramedics.
