A BOLTON MP is calling on the government to fulfill one of its election promises.
Sir David Crausby, MP for Bolton North East is calling on Theresa May to bring in the tariff cap she promised in the Conservative Manifesto in 2017.
This week British Gas increased prices for the second time this year.
Sir David said: “Millions of people are struggling with the cost of living and energy bills are a huge part of that.
"As we’ve seen again this week prices can be very volatile and navigating between all the different deals can be so complicated that many households end up being ripped off.
"The Government need to take action and the cost of energy. The public interest should come before the profits of the Big Six."
