LET’S hope Bolton West MP Chris Green manages to make a difference in the amount of red tape police officers face.
During a busy weekend shift out with local patrols, Mr Green discovered the pressure that paperwork means to already overworked officers. “One thing I took away from my shift was that there is far too much red tape that prevents police from doing their job,” he stated. He felt this could be done by other public services.
Fewer officers and more paperwork means less effectiveness where it matters, and the public suffers. Any campaigning to improve this may help.
