I FIND it hard to believe that loving parents today would ever endanger their own children deliberately.
Yet, trying to persuade people not to smoke in their own properties if they have children appears to be having little effect. Cancer scientists are now renewing calls for a home ban as almost a third of smokers’ children are likely to die from lung disease in adulthood.
Although many smokers now go outside for a cigarette, thousands more obviously do not. Insisting on your right to smoke in your own home is having disastrous results for the children you profess to love.
