THE Octagon has been doing a great job of taking its productions to the Bolton community.
After its Summer Holiday hit, staged partly at the Transport Interchange and partly in the theatre before it closed for redevelopment, it went to Queens Park with the iconic tale of Gulliver’s Travels.
While it took certain liberties with the original story, the Octagon’s version was a glorious and unusual adventure with the audience taken to various sites around the park.
It was full of fun, laughter and professionalism. Keeping the Octagon as an influence in local life like this is a clever move.
