HE won the nation's hearts when he appeared on Pop Idol.
And although he may of finished runner-up to Will Young on the TV talent show in 2002, he has gone on to start on the reality show Dancing on Ice, made a name for himself as a musical theatre star — but this week he is going back to his singing roots by performing in Bolton.
Gareth, who has had a series of number one single, will be heading to to the David Lloyd Club in Chorley Street on Saturday.
The gig is part of a two day performance by the singer, who on Friday will be performing at a David Lloyd Club in Manchester.
Gareth sold 5 million records worldwide, released three albums and had five UK number-one singles.
He won record of the year in 2002 and with that had the second best-selling single of the ‘noughties’ with ‘Unchained Melody’.
