Westhoughton is filled with fascinating facts and a great place to start if you want to find out more is Westhoughton Local History Society which meets twice a month on the first and third Thursday in every month at Westhoughton Library.
The group is always keen to gain new members to this thriving group.
Meetings run from 10am to noon and anyone interested in finding out more should pop along and meet the current members.
