THANK goodness! Strictly Come Dancing’s back with all the glitz, glamour and cheesiness we’ve come to love.
The pairing event was held on Saturday and there’s now a two week gap until we get a chance to see how all the celebrities and their professional dance partners perform.
Already, there are some interesting pairings and some front-runners. The patient Anton du Beke and feisty Susannah Constantine seem like a promising partnership for future entertainment. Lively Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts, Steps’ star Faye Tozer and actors Danny John Jules (Red Dwarf, Death in Paradise) and Charles Venn (Casualty) already impress with their dance moves.
Cricketer Graeme Swann may prove to be a dark horse and cricketers often do well on Strictly. Those who still have quite a journey to make (as they say in Strictly-speak) include comedian Seann Walsh and vlogger Joe Sugg but they’re often the ones improving the most. News’ presenter Kate Silverton is obviously going to be a joy.
I just can’t wait for the fun to begin.
