BOLTON teacher Jenny Taylor will be hoping to get top marks when she pits her wits against one of the fearsome quiz experts on TV show The Chase next week.

Jenny, aged 24, who works at The Olive School in Bolton and lives in Turton, said she applied to appear on the programme, which is hosted by Bradley Walsh, in 2016 after six months of travelling around Asia and Australia.

She said: “The idea was to try to win further funds to pay for a future trip around South America.

“It was a fantastic experience and I would definitely recommend people to apply and have a go.”

The show’s ’Chasers’ include Jenny Ryan – nickname ‘The Vixen’ - from Horwich and ‘The Governess’ Anne Hegerty. Both compete in Bolton Premier Quiz League and Anne has won Brain of Bolton twice.

To find out who Jenny and her team faced and whether she did achieve her aim of winning some cash to help fund more travels abroad, tune in to ITV 1 on Monday at 5pm .
