POLICE have released images of a man they want to speak to in connection with a stabbing incident.

At around 9am on Saturday August 11, 2018, police were called to reports that a man had been stabbed outside the Birdrona shop on Deane Road in Bolton.

Police and ambulance services attended and a 33-year-old man was treated for stab wounds to his shoulder.

Investigating officers have now released an image of a man who they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

PC Khal Rahim from GMP’s Bolton borough said: “We believe the offender was with the victim prior to the incident. They entered the shop together and a fight started while inside.

“The fight then spilled out onto the road before the man re-entered the shop, took a knife and attacked the victim with it.

“We have released an image of a man we would like to speak to in connection with this incident and I am appealing for anyone who recognises him to get in touch.”
