BIN: Fire crews tackle the bin fire in the town centre
FIRE crews were called after two bins were set on fire in the town centre.
The incident happened at around 3.30pm off Great Moor Street.
It is not clear how the fire was started, although firefighters reported youths in the area who were abusive to crew members tackling the blaze.
They also urged members of the public not to waste fire service time.
Bolton North Community Fire Station crew manager Andy Foy said: "Incidents like this waste fire service time and tie us up when we could be called to more serious incidents."
