TODDLERS and staff at a Westhoughton nursery hold health and safety close to their hearts - in more ways than one.
The community-spirited toddlers at Happitots Nursery held a sports day as a way of raising money to buy a defibrillator.
It was installed free into the wall outside the Chorley Road nursery by kind-hearted local electrician Stephen King of E4S Electricals.
The defibrillator, which delivers a controlled dose of electric current, can be used in medical emergencies which involve life-threatening cardiac arrests .
All staff at the nursery have received full training in how to use the equipment.
