A MAN tested positive for drugs after being pulled over for not wearing his seatbelt.
The man was travelling along Turton Street this morning, in a silver Peugeot when traffic officers spotted him without his belt on and followed him before stopping the vehicle.
He was subsequently found to have no driving licence or insurance.
The man has now been arrested by police after a roadside drugs test showed positive for cannabis and cocaine.
In a statement released on Twitter, a GMP spokesman said: "Driver of this Peugeot was sighted Turton Street with no seat belt.
"After a little detour round the back streets of Bolton he was stopped and found to have no insurance, no driving licence and tested positive for the presence of cannabis and cocaine.
"Male arrested and vehicle recovered"
The man will now be obliged to a ‘release fee’ of up to £200 for his car, plus a storage fee of £20 for every day or part day that it is held by police.
