German discount supermarket Aldi has unveiled a stylish new kitchenware range which looks remarkably similar to luxury French cookware brand, Le Creuset.
Although the Le Creuset range is much loved by foodies, their signature cast iron kitchenware costs hundreds.
Aldi say that buying three items from their range would cost around £60, or 90 per cent less than buying three items from Le Creuset.
The designer brand’s Signature Shallow Casserole Dish is priced at £229, while Aldi’s most expensive copy-cat design costs just £24.99.
Ideal for experimental home cooks, the cast iron range includes everything from a skillet for cooking fish and steak to a tagine used to create a Moroccan inspired lamb tagine.
Available in red, cream and grey, the full range includes a cast iron casserole dish and shallow casserole dish ( £24.99 each), a cast iron roaster and tagine (both £19.99), a cast iron frying pan and skillet (both £14.99), plus a cast iron grill tray (£12.99).
Le Creuset’s Signature Shallow Casserole Dish is priced at £229, while Aldi’s most expensive copy-cat design costs just £24.99.
Each item in the new range suitable for use with all heat sources, including gas, electric, induction hobs and even solid fuel cooker.
They can also be put in an oven up to 200 degrees celsius.
The range is available in store and online.
