A MAN has died following a car crash in Leigh.
At 2.20pm on Monday September 10 police were called to Market Place near to the junction of Lord Street following reports of a collision between a motorcycle and a pedestrian.
Police, the ambulance service and the air ambulance attended and two men were taken to hospital. However, Ghulam Rasul, aged 74, from Leigh, died as a result of his injuries.
Police have confirmed that the rider of the bike is continuing to help officers with their investigation.
The road was closed for several hours while specialist police carried out forensic and reconstruction enquiries.
