A MOTORCYCLIST is recovering in hospital after being involved in a crash with a taxi in Breightmet.
Police were called to the junction of Bury Road and Garstang Avenue shortly after 5.20pm on Tuesday to a report of a collision between a Silver Toyota Avensis and a blue Kawasaki motorbike.
An ambulance and an air ambulance attended the incident, and the motorcyclist, a male in his 20s, was taken to Salford Royal Hospital with major trauma injuries.
He has suffered injuries to his back and wrist, but is believed to be recovering well.
The driver of the taxi remained at the scene to assist police officers with enquiries, and no arrests were made.
