CHILDREN at a nursery have been learning to be creative cooks as part of a new event.
Staff and pupils at the Bright Horizons Asquith Bolton Pre-School and Day Nursery, at the David Lloyd Club, Chorley Street, recently made their own muffins after following a new recipe from Annabel Karmel.
The cooking exercise was part of the organisation’s Creative Cooks Week which saw the children follow the recipe from the chef’s latest book.
Nursery manager Rebecca Perkins, said: “The children thoroughly enjoyed the activity and were proud to see their results at the end of it.”
Bright Horizons’ Creative Cooks enhancement aims to encourage creativity in cooking by allowing youngsters to try their hand at making, and eating, their own homemade food.
