A BOLTON Amazon employee has been chosen to take a trip across the world to visit the global deleivery giant’s HQ in USA.

Dominika Wisniewska, who works at the Bolton fulfilment centre, is going on a special trip to Seattle to visit Amazon’s global headquarters along with colleagues from the UK sites.

Amazon invited employees at fulfilment centres across the UK to tell bosses what they like best about working at Amazon and why it is the right place for them.

More than 800 employees from across the UK and dozens from each site took part. One person from each fulfilment centre will visit Amazon’s headquarters in Seattle this October as part of the ‘I Found the Right Place’ programme.

Dominika was the lucky Bolton employee chosen for the trip.

Fulfilment centre Associate Dominika, wrote: “The managers here are really friendly, they always help you, it is a great atmosphere to work in.

“If you are considering a career at Amazon you should definitely apply, you will feel like you are working with family and will really enjoy it, for sure. When I was told I was going to Seattle I couldn’t believe it! I am excited to see everything, a fulfilment centre in the States and dogs in the office.”

During the five-day trip to Seattle, Dominika and Amazon colleagues from sites across the UK will be shown around the city and enjoy a trip up the Space Needle. They will also go on a tour of the Amazon campus and the robotics fulfilment centre in Kent, Washington, where they will meet Amazon’s Chief Scientist.

Dominika said: “I feel at home here, the people around are nice and I’m enjoying every minute I spend in the fulfilment centre. I love the challenge of solving problems and I get so excited when I resolve and issue to avoid a bad customer experience. Being here makes me happy and I am proud to say I work for Amazon, I am looking forward to the new experiences it brings.”

Paul Ashraf, General Manager at Amazon’s Bolton fulfilment centre said: “We take pride in providing a positive workplace and a great environment and I am delighted that Dominika will be jetting off to Seattle for the trip of a lifetime.”
