THE BSF Over-35s Football League tables have a decidedly uneven look after three weeks due to postponements and open dates.

After a heavy loss last week, Rochdale Sports bounced back to beat bottom side Bar Lane Bowling Club 9-1 on Sunday and are just one point off top spot in Division One.

Daz Smith scored five, Paul Sykes two with Tim Murray and Wayne Trainer scoring for the home side while Leon Hamilton netted a consolation for Bar Lane.

AFC Dobbies A, who defeated Rochdale last week, lost 2-0 to Radcliffe Old Boys A for whom Abid Udin and Daz Buckley were on target. The victory put Radcliffe top of the table while Dobbies dropped to third.

Queen Lizzy earned their first point of the season when they drew 2-2 at home to Salford Victoria.

Home Guard Failsworth were promoted to Division Two as runners-up in Division Three last season, but have struggled to adjust and have lost their three opening games.

They crashed to a 6-2 defeat at AFC Dobbies B for whom Jason Eccles and Mark Stubbs hit two apiece and Chris Pedlar and Michael Longsdale one each. Paul Lewis scored Home Guard's goals.

It was honours even for BLGC and Radcliffe Town Vets as Simon Russell and Sean Scully, respectively, scored two each in a 2-2 draw.

It leaves BLGC third in the table with a game in hand on leaders Old Bolts who beat Tika Taka Volunteers 1-0.

Division Three leaders Radcliffe Old Boys B are two points clear of Royal Farnworth Vets despite dropping two points in a 4-4 draw at Bolton Wyresdale.

Paul Gibson and Mark Grundy each scored a brace for the home side while a Nathan Cormley hat-trick and a Mark Owen effort levelled matters.

Royal Farnworth Vets are two points behind the leaders, but also dropped points at The Lever Arms.

Alex Sherratt, two, and Paul Grindley scored for Lever while Gary French hit two and Matthew Crook one for Royal in a 3-3 draw.

Tavern Vets drew level in the table with Gidlow Athletics by beating them 2-1 and there are now four teams on four points. Martin Meehan scored for Gidlow with Longy but Hadfield strikes secured the points for Tavern.

Moss Bank are in third spot on goal difference after thrashing Radcliffe Vets B 7-2 away.

Austin Waters scored both goals for the home side, but two apiece from Neil Davis and Phil Markland and a hat-trick by Adam Hinckley sealed a big victory for Moss Bank.

Ainsworth lead Division Four after three straight victories, but visitors Deans Youth made life difficult for them as Matt Evans, Steve Lockett, Martin Smedley, Ian Nixon scored.

Martin Jones, two, Gareth Harrison, Jack Gould, Trevor Grady and an own goal gave Ainsworth a 6-4 victory.

Bury Seniors recorded their first win of the season, 2-1 at Atherton Town for whom Scott Mulcrow scored.

Anthony Garnett and Eaton Leach earned the visitors the three points which lifted them off the bottom of the table and level with Atherton and Unity Brook.
